Dr Marina Hadjilouca is a Cypriot performance designer and academic based in London. Marina’s research interests lie within conflictual aesthetics and contested urban environments. Her research focuses on protest scenographics, challenging the neoliberal site and the decolonisation of urban post conflict sites. She has presented her research in conferences in Europe and the UK and has published papers in conference proceedings.

 

She is a convenor for the TaPRA Scenography Working Group. As a practitioner, Marina creates scenographic interventions in contested public spaces and designs sets and costumes for theatre and opera. She is the Programme Director for BA (Hons) Design for Performance, at Rose Bruford College.
